Reports: Saints WR Rashid Shaheed (knee) done for season after surgery

New Orleans Saints wide receiver Rashid Shaheed is out for the season after undergoing meniscus surgery Thursday, ESPN and NFL Network reported.
Shaheed's surgeons reportedly decided the 26-year-old's meniscus needed a full repair rather than a "trim." Shaheed will be placed on injured reserve and miss four to six months while recovering, according to ESPN.
Shaheed played the first six games of the season for New Orleans, starting five and making 20 catches. He played 81 percent of the offensive snaps in Sunday's 51-27 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and news of his injury only surfaced after the game.
Shaheed leads the Saints in targets (41), yards (349) and touchdown receptions (three). The speedster is also averaging a league-best 15.9 yards per punt return and 28.5 yards per kick return, good for seventh in the NFL. He returned a punt for a touchdown in the loss to the Bucs.
In three NFL seasons, all spent with the Saints, Shaheed has 94 receptions for 1,556 yards and 10 touchdowns, plus one rushing touchdown and two punt return TDs.
The Saints are also without starting wide receiver Chris Olave for Thursday's game against the visiting Denver Broncos due to a concussion.
